A. Qualifications.

Officer to be recruited from London County Council
Fire Brigade.
Age: Between 27 and 35 years.
Ex sesman. May be married.
Medical test.
Height 6'6" to 5'9" (approximate).
Chest 38-40".
At least 5 years Fire Brigade (professional) experience.
Good working knowledge of motor fire engines including
driving is essential. A knowledge of steam fire engines also is required.
Knowledge of Station Duties.
B. Conditions of Service.
I.
Appointment. 3 years agreement to begin with and
II.
permanent if satisfactory. Service for pension to count from original appointment if permanently engaged. Selery. £320 to £360 by £10 annually.
III. Passages, Quarters, etc,
Free Quarters for single or married men with family of 3.
Free fuel, light and uniform. The latter are non-
pensionable.
Travelling expenses in the Colony.
Free 2nd Class passages out on half pay.
Free 2nd Class passeges home after 5 years' service on
full pay, or on termination of agreement on no pay.
C. Duties
I.
To reside at the station or apartments appointed by the
Chief Officer.
II.
To work with and under direction of the Superintendent.
